Big Bore and Big Scores at 2025 Big Game State Titles

The 2025 SSAA NSW Big Game Rifle State Titles brought together competitors from across the state for a weekend of competition and precision shooting. Held at the SSAA NSW Glen Innes Branch’s Emmaville Rifle Range, the event displayed the skill and tradition of Big Game rifle shooting.

Over the three-day shoot from May 30 to June 1, participants competed in events including African Plains Rifle, Black Powder Express, Light Nitro, and Stopping Double Rifle. 

Top Results from the 2025 Titles:

Mark dominated the field, winning multiple matches including Light Nitro, Special Snap,  Black Powder Express, and Stalking Double Rifle, Stopping Double Rifle. Mark was also the Veterans Aggregate Winner.

Rodney was consistent placing first in Group Three and second overall in the Veterans categories.

Big Game Discipline Chairman, Ben took the win in African Plains Rifle and secured multiple placings across the weekend.

Mark and Jim also shot some great matches and delivered strong performances, particularly in Black Powder Express and Pot Rifle respectively.
