SSAA Sydney’s Ladies Day welcomed a fantastic group of women for a fun, hands-on introduction to shooting sports — and the turnout was brilliant.
Over 50 attendees enjoyed a welcome from SSAA Sydney President, Mr Joe Mete, a firearms briefing & training from Paul McMurray, Range Operations Manager for SSAA Sydney branch, and an audience with ‘trailblazer’, Amanda Vallance. Whether participants came with friends, family, or on their own, the supportive atmosphere made it easy to connect, learn about firearms, and have a great time.
This day wasn’t just about shooting either — it was about trying something new, building confidence, and supporting a great cause alongside the amazing team from SES Wollondilly.
A huge shoutout goes to the SSAA Sydney team and especially volunteer Kadeja Assaad who heads up the Sydney Ladies Shooting Program — your passion and commitment are the backbone of events like these. And to the Silverdale range officers, thank you for your help and incredible, and helpful guidance throughout the day teaching the ladies to shoot.
SSAA Sydney raised over $3,000 for local Wollondilly SES branch and donated matching funds to a local women’s shelter.
Together, we’re showing that shooting sports are for everyone — building a strong and inclusive community that welcomes everyone.
