The Northern Rivers Branch of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) hosted the SSAA National Lever Action Championship from 4–6 October 2025 at the Casino Rifle Range, drawing competitors from across the country for three days of precision shooting and friendly competition.
The championship spanned the long weekend, featuring Rimfire on Saturday, Centrefire on Sunday, and Classic Calibre and Teams matches on Monday. A total of 43 competitors attended, representing Tasmania, Western Australia, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, and multiple NSW Branches, including Southern Highlands, Newcastle, Taree Wingham, Coonabarabran, and Northern Rivers.
The event also welcomed 6 ladies and 2 junior competitors, reflecting the growing diversity in the sport.
The success of the championship was supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, including scorers, range officers, target crews, BBQ crews, and members assisting with range maintenance, setup, and pack-up. Their efforts ensured the event ran smoothly and safely throughout the three days.
