The SSAA NSW air rifle range kicked off on a promising note as Friday welcomed around 80 enthusiastic try shooters. The weather was on our side, offering a perfect blend of sunshine and warmth, setting the tone for an exciting event.
Saturday proved to be a resounding success, with an impressive turnout of approximately 200 shooters. The day saw a mix of participants, ranging from those keen on marking their attendance to numerous juniors, even whole families. It was great to see mothers and their kids competing against each other. The atmosphere was vibrant, as the camaraderie among participants was palpable. The bright sun continued to
grace us with its presence, adding to the overall enjoyment.
However, Sunday presented a stark contrast as the heavens opened, drenching us in a heavy downpour.
Despite the inclement weather, the spirit remained undeterred, and we were pleased to see around 40 dedicated shooters brave the rain. Their unwavering commitment was truly admirable and showcased the
extent of their passion for the sport.
Looking back, the success of the air rifle range was not solely attributed to the weather or the number of
participants. It was the collective effort of many individuals that made it a remarkable occasion. A special
shoutout goes to our members, whose tireless support was invaluable in ensuring the smooth execution of
the event. Their dedication behind the scenes was instrumental in creating an enjoyable experience for all attendees.
Furthermore, the indispensable assistance provided by SSAA NSW, the organisers, was integral to the
