SSAA Stockton

The Stockton branch is a small branch located in the Hunter Valley NSW. The branch uses the Cessnock Rife range at Cessnock.

Our branch shares range time with the Hunter District Hunting Club, range time for us is every Wednesday morning, range opens 7.30am shooting starts 8.30am till 11.30am distance 100yds. The 50yd .22 rimfire range also operates at this time, on the third Wednesday of the month 200yds is shot. We also shoot on the last Saturday of the month 8.30am to 11.30am distance 100yds and .22rimfire 50yds.

There are various limitations that cover range use .We can only shoot from the prone position or use a portable bench, 8mm centrefire calibre limit , no 30 calibre magnums ,no muzzle brakes of any form to be used ,FMJs and use of magazines are permitted , the .22 rimfire range is limited to .22LR only.

The Stockton branch has a very close working relationship with the Cessnock Rifle Club and the Hunter District Hunting Club.
